What is the application and acceptance procedure?
The 2020 internship application process went by the following:
Internship applications will open on November 22, 2019 and will be due on December 31, 2019. We will notify interns if they advance to interview by January 26; interviews will take place in early February. Candidates will be notified by March 2 if they are admitted to the program.
For the 2021 internship, please check in in the fall for updated dates.
Applications are accepted through an online form, accessed by clicking here.
Swanton Pacific Ranch personnel will notify applicants if they qualify for an interview as soon as we can review your application.
What are pay/hours?
Interns will be paid $13/hour and will work 40 hours a week. Work hours may vary, but will generally be 8:00 - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
How do I register?
We will let the interns we accept know when registration opens. Once it opens...
Extended Education will require you to pay a nonrefundable $400 deposit within 4 days of registering; if you do not pay that deposit, you will forfeit your internship offer. The remainder of the fee will be due by May 23.
Here are the details about refunds of fees:
- 60-89 days prior to start date, 100% of the eligible fees will be reversed.
- 30-59 days prior to start, 75% of fee will be reversed.
- Less than 30 days prior to start date, there will be no fee adjustment.
Please note that reversal of fees is for the second payment and deposits are non-refundable
