The Mountain Lions of Swanton and the Santa Cruz Mountains - Ten Years of Study

"It all began in the hills above Swanton Pacific Ranch.  Now in its tenth year, the Santa Cruz Puma Project has made great strides in understanding our elusive top predator, the mountain lion.  In this talk, Chris Wilmers - the project leader, will discuss the findings of their research over the past 10 years.  Among the topics he will cover will be puma food habits, how they communicate with each other and find mates, where they like to hang out, how many calories they expend moving around and killing prey, how many there are, and whether they are more afraid of Rush Limbaugh or Rachel Maddow.  Really!" - Chris  Wilmers

Please join us to hear about these topics and more.
