Survey for Swanton Pacific Ranch Strategic Intent Planning Process

Thank you very much for filling out this survey, helping to create Swanton Pacific Ranch’s success.

Alumnus Al Smith, who donated Swanton Pacific Ranch to Cal Poly in 1994, had a vision for Swanton Pacific Ranch to make it into a living and learning laboratory for sustainable land management practices. Cal Poly is proud of how its Learn-by-Doing approach helped generations of students, including through decades of their experiences at Swanton Pacific Ranch. The Ranch is located in one of the most sensitive biodiversity hotspots in the country, in a rural community where stewardship and production coexist naturally.

Al Smith’s great wish for Swanton Pacific Ranch was “to see this place kept intact and natural, a lab and classroom for ‘learning by doing’ forever.”

The survey is short and will only take 10 minutes to fill out. Your answers will be kept anonymous. We appreciate your time and look forward to seeing you at Swanton Pacific Ranch in the future.
