To provide Cal Poly students, faculty, staff and the public with a unique interdisciplinary environment in which to foster the Learn by Doing philosophy by providing educational experiences on a working ranch, supporting diversified agriculture and forest resources while maintaining the integrity of ranch operations.

Grass-fed Beef


Grass Fed BeefOur cattle are born and raised right out on Swanton Pacific Ranch pastures. They feed on native grass dominated pastures and are part of a planned grazing practice. This enhances their environment, while producing a great product offering numerous health benefits to the consumer. Some of these benefits include:

  • Less than 10% Saturated Fat
  • High in Omega 3 Fatty Acids
  • High in Conjugated Linoleic Acid
  • High in Vitamin A and E
  • High in Beta Carotene

Our Products

  • 20 lb Freezer Boxes (2017) Includes: 10 lbs ground beef; 3 lbs assorted roasts, and; 7 lbs assorted steaks $180/box at $9.00/lb 

  • Ground Beef $7.50/lb

  • Assorted Roasts $7.50/lb (Santa Cruz pick up only)

  • Bones $5.50/lb (Santa Cruz pick up only)(OUT OF STOCK)
